The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature is pretty much the same as the first movie, only cornier!!!

Rating: 2.5 Stars

What I Like:

-The animation was top notch
-The voice casting was pretty good

The So So:

-The story was more straightforward this time around, but it was still too juvenile for my liking

What I Didn’t Like:

-I may had a couple chuckles but their jokes were worst than the last movie
-The gags really got obnoxiously annoying for me

Overall:

For me, if you go out to see this sequel you will get much of the same. Which means, if you like it, you will like, if you don’t, don’t even bother. The main difference for me is that the comedy for this movie was cornier than its predecessor. So with that said, it is good enough for the kids to laugh, but cringeworthy for adults!!!

(Sidenote: The Zookeeper’s Wife- The story of this movie reminded me a lot of one of my favorite movies, Schindler’s List. However, this film lacked any emotional impact whatsoever, and it was practically boring most of the way through. I can’t understand how a movie about events during The Holocaust can not be impactful, but it wasn’t for me. Jessica Chastain does her best with her somewhat Polish accent, but in the end, it was a wasted role for her!!!
