Valley of Bones is actually thrilling with good pacing, even though the third act was too outlandish for my liking!!!
Rating: 4 Stars
What I Like:
-The story is paced very well with just enough character development and some thrilling scenes
-The landscape of the Badlands from North Dakota creates some cool cinematography
-The acting of Steven Molony as McCoy was pretty intimidating
The So So:
-Yes the story was paced well, but often times it did appeared rushed, I just wish I can learn just a little bit more of Paleontologist’s life
What I Didn’t Like:
-The third act was just too outlandish for me, it went from a realistic tone to an over the top type of action which is too run of the mill type of action
-The ending was also too happy than tragedy, it depends how you look at it, but I didn’t like how everything went well for the family, not for McCoy, but he wasn’t that likable enough for me to care
-Mark Margolis (from Breaking Bad) playing El Papa, was a weird role, and for a guy who plays the godfather of The Cartel, he wasn’t intimidating at all
Overall:
It was a good movie at the very least. The pacing kept my interest, and the thought for this story was well executed. Yes, I didn’t like the third act too much, but it didn’t affect this movie, and the thrills alone will make you enjoy it!!!

(Sidenote: Unforgettable- This film starring the beautiful Rosario Dawson and Katherine Heigl was really a typical old marital psychopath type of drama. Katherine Heigl playing the ex wife psychopath wasn’t really that intimidating for me. For the scenes that were suppose to be thrilling, it was not only forgettable (pun intended) it was almost laughable. For the title, it will be forgettable (pun not intended)!!!
