Daddy’s Home 2 may had a few chuckles get out of me, but the characterizations to make this comedy seemed so forced that it made it hard to watch!!!

Rating: 2.5 Stars

What I Like:

-The comedic chemistry between Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg (aka the Great Marky Mark), was pretty good, between them they brought out the some laughs with me which made this film watchable
-There were some comedic moments that made me chuckle

The So So:

-Honestly, there was no middle ground for me with this movie

What I Didn’t Like:

-The characterizations for the characters, especially the grandads were very comedically forced, where instead of being funny, I was rolling my eyes in disgust, I mean I get it, one grandad is a jerk, and the other is too lovable, it was just too forced for my liking
-Comedies like to tread the line with their spoofs, but having kids play with guns and getting drunk was just not appropriate at all for me, instead, it was just sad
-Why almost every Will Ferrell comedy has to have him singing a dumb song or dancing, it is starting to get old, even for his standards

Overall:

I really didn’t like the first film all to well, this sequel wasn’t any better. The comedy seemed force, with their characterizations being forced in these great actors just made it worse. Yes I laughed a few times, which somewhat makes it watchable, but in the end it was just another run of the mill comedy that will be forgettable in the future!!!
