A Quiet Place is a type of thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat with all the suspense it brings, despite it’s minor flaws, it shows John Krasinski does have what it takes to make a movie come alive!!!

What I Like:

-This is a true thriller, it is pure suspense and it doesn’t rely on jump scares or brutalities, the fact that it is all quiet and just a few decibels of noise can put you on the edge of your seat, it is definitely a unique way of suspenseful terror, especially that scene where the wife was giving birth was just pure genius terror
-The alien creatures were very creepy looking, they were like a cross between a Xenomorph and Venom, it is a unique creation that adds to the terror
-John Krasinki starred and directed this movie alongside his real wife, Emily Blunt, and I have to hand it to him, his direction was very, very good, and I believe he is starting to get the hand of it, and will be a good director real soon
-The whole character development by looking at the family talk in sign language is a unique way of watching and learning the characters

The So So:

-The set up and ending are pretty much rushed, but at the very least it flows very well to keep you engaged and ready for edge of your seat action

What I Didn’t Like:

-Some nitpicky things, but how you almost drown in corn, but then you’re saved by a heavy door and that doesn’t sink? There are some of those unanswered questions that quite didn’t make sense to me

Overall:

This is a unique horror experience that you will not regret. I give credit to Krasinski for creating an edge of your seat thriller where it doesn’t rely on the typical old schtick that horror films usually do. The silence does make it creepy, and how the aliens look creates a suspense that is very unique for all the thriller purest. To them I would highly recommend it!!!

Wonder_(film)

(Sidenote: Wonder- This is a feel good movie that I know some people will love, but for me, it is ok at best. Yes, the story is decent, but it is a typical inspirational type of story. The child acting is cringe worthy, even the main character Jacob Tremblay has his cringe moments. I know I will get some flack for this, but I just find it ok at best!!!
