Tag has a very dumb premise (surprisingly based on a true story), but the cast and charm really made it work somehow!!!

Rating: 3.5 Stars

What I Like:

-The comedic casting of this comedy is really what made this work, the goofiness, charm, and comedy from one another really made you care and laugh with them
-There were some funny one liners and moments that actually had me laughing, mainly from Hannibal Burress whose monotone personality really makes it hilarious
-Jeremy Renner was hilariously awesome as the guy avoiding to get tag, the action sequences are so fun to watch

The So So:

-A comedy movie about grown guys playing the game of tag does sound like a dumb premise (especially since it happened in real life), but the writing actually makes this more than just a game, it is a way for friends to come together and have a good time, surprisingly it had a lot of heart even though it follows the same tropes

What I Didn’t Like:

-The ending was a little cliched in a comedy that tries to be serious in the end, seen that plenty of times before

Overall:

It may sound like a dumb movie that features Ed Helms’ dumb faces, but it actually was better than I thought it would be. The comedy was decent enough, story was engaging, the cast made this movie work, and the charm had some good moments. Yes, it is not the perfect comedy, but it is something where you can sit back and relax and just enjoy the ride!!!

Sherlock_Gnomes

(Sidenote: Sherlock Gnomes- I really didn’t like the first film that much, this one was slightly better. Mainly because I enjoy the mystery surrounding this film involving garden gnomes. It has somewhat funny jokes and some cool animation, but other than that, it is just not my kind of movie. I think it lacks charm or any emotional moments. Regardless, it’s still fun for the kids!!!
