Christopher Robin may have a certain theme of rekindling your childhood, it did for me, but must it have a story we already seen before!!!

Rating: 3.5 Stars

What I Like:

-I believe one of the themes it brings is about rekindling your childhood memories, for me it brought a little nostalgia about a cartoon I watched when I was a kid but then forgot about it when I grew up, that kind of rekindleness was something special to me
-I actually really enjoyed the CGI it brings, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet’s animation is really good especially when they were in London, the special effects were pretty authentic

The So So:

-The story, more on that later, is really weak, but then again, how else can they make a sequel to this legendary franchise, it worked but for the sake of making it a sequel

What I Didn’t Like:

-As I said before the story is weak and mainly because it is a story we all seen before, especially in movies made for kids, the cliched story line of a workaholic not attending to his family because his job is on the line, and almost losing his family, but something comes along to save the day, that’s what it was, only the ending was just a little more satisfying

Overall:

Yes the story is very weak, and it was made to make of a sequel of some sorts to the Winnie-the-Pooh franchise. With that said, I do appreciate how it rekindled my childhood on a franchise that I forgot how special it was when I didn’t know it at the time. What’s even more special is that the kids today will get to see with a new light of a story that we adults enjoyed when we were kids. That can be a special moment when you bring your kids and experience it together!!!
