Kin is a film where it has a big identity crisis of what theme they want to go for, which leaves it into an underwhelming ending!!!
Rating: 2.5 Stars
What I Like:
-The acting was solid fo the most part
-The little action it had wasn’t boring
The So So:
-This had an identity crisis for what theme it was going with, a drama, a crime thriller, a sci-fi ordeal, it just became a bit confusing on where this story is taking, once you get use to one theme, then it automatically changes, and you’re asking yourself, what is going on here? Makes it hard to keep up
What I Didn’t Like:
-Even with all the identity crisis, it still didn’t bring anything new or unique no matter what genre it is, there was a few share of cliches for sure
SPOILER THREAD (Don’t read if you haven’t seen it):
-In the end where it really brings out the sci-fi factor, and all of a sudden Michael B. Jordan pops out of nowhere and kind of saves the day, and then all of a sudden it became a Terminator type of story line, just really got me confused once it ended, and left me underwhelmed, and with more questions on what is going to happen with Elijah
Overall:
It wasn’t boring, but it does leave you confused with it’s identity theme crisis and tone and twist ending. I believe they were banking on a sequel, but judging from what I see, it probably won’t happen. I guess I will never know the future of Elijah!!!
