Brightburn is an intriguing premise with it’s horror tropes, but it ended with me wanting more!!!

What I Like:

-The premise of this story about an evil Superman is very interesting to me, I’m sure there was a comic book about this story line, but this is the beginning of ‘Superman’s” life as a kid, so all of this is interesting and see how the world reacts

The So So:

-It does follow a lot of the horror movie tropes, but for this film it does make sense, I really enjoyed the creepiness it brings, but the extra violence can be a little too much, almost to Saw territory

What I Didn’t Like:

-The conclusion was very unsatisfying, it left me wanting more, I don’t want to spoil it here, but the way it ended did leave a sad taste in my mouth

Overall:

It is an interesting movie to see what if “Superman” turned evil as a kid. The horror tropes and crazy violence added to its flair. With all that said, the movie ended unsatisfying, and really wanted to see more. I believe the Superman purists will not like this, but watch at your own risk!!!
