Yes, the story is not great, but my problem is that the monster fights were a little underwhelming!!!

Real Rating: 3.5 Stars

What I Like:

-The graphics were pretty good, the way they made Godzilla, Ghidora, Rhodan, and Mothra (which is very beautiful the way they made her), in that regard I appreciate it

The So So:

-I thought the fights were a little underwhelming, yes they were some cool moments, but I kind of expected more action, I felt they concentrated more on the people looking up to them, instead what we came to see, we really didn’t get enough
-The jokes were hit or miss, some were eye rollingly bad, and others were pretty funny

What I Didn’t Like:

-The story was pretty thin, they try to make a scientific excuses and ideologies that doesn’t quite make sense to have all these monsters rise and fight, and as I said before, they focused more on the humans than the monsters, and yes some people would say the first film was worst, but it actually had a better story in that regard
-They really destroyed my city of Boston, and the fights weren’t that great to see it get destroyed, no reason for the Hancock building to get shattered like that

The first Godzilla was good and I loved Kong: Skull Island, but this movie took a step back in the MonsterVerse. The story was thin, but I was willing to forgive that to see pure monster fighting action. We do get that, but I felt it was underwhelming. They still focused too much on the humans point of view, but their views were a little moronic in that regard. Anyways, with all that said, a part of me is still looking forward to Godzilla vs. Kong, I just hope this is a step further, than another step backwards!!!
