Men in Black: International really lost its touch when it comes to the Men in Black franchise, even with the great acting chemistry of Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson!!!

Real Rating: 2.5 Stars

What I Like:

-The chemistry between Chris Hemsworth (aka Thor) and Tessa Thompson was spot on, and do capture a lot of the comedic timing and working together

The So So:

-The action and graphics were cool, but it was really nothing that blew me away, it felt so indifferent to me
-The voice casting of Kumail Nanjiani was pretty spot on with his character as Pawny which was  lot of funny comic relief, however, his major role didn’t really make any sense at all other than some stupid deus ex machina scenes

What I Didn’t Like:

-The story felt rushed from beginning to end, and the execution of it all really falls flat
-It was predictable, so the twist really wasn’t all that surprising
-It really didn’t capture the spirit of the previous Men in Black movies, it felt a lot was missing

Overall:

I was highly disappointed with this movie. I loved the Men in Black franchise, but this one falls really short. Despite the strong performances from its major cast, the story didn’t bring it any fair justice. This spin off could’ve been a lot better if they take their time to flesh out the characters and plot better. In the end, it all felt like a rushed mess, and that is very unfortunate!!!
