Crawl is a terrifying movie that exceeded my expectations, even though the character development was weak!!!
Real Rating: 4 Stars
What I Like:
-It is a terrifying movie, I wouldn’t put it on Jaws level, but I was in the edge of my seats not knowing where are the gators which creates a lot of anxiety
-The gators for the most part looked pretty real with their CGI and their behavior, if you have a phobia of gators, this is not your movie
The So So:
-The acting was good, however their character development was weak, it seems like they try to force their points of views while trying to survive which really didn’t work for me
What I Didn’t Like:
-Some moments didn’t look realistic to me, mainly because the tone is very grounded for the most part, so because of that, some moments can be just plain silly
Overall:
I thought I was going to hate this movie, but after watching it, I was actually pretty impressed with how it all went down. It was thrilling and very terrifying involving gators. I give them props for doing their research on alligator behavior, and really try to make it realistic as possible. Yes, the character development is weak, but let’s face it, you watch this movie for that gator action in a hurricane!!!

(Sidenote: Hotel Mumbai- This was a very intense movie, about the terrorists attacks in the city of Mumbai, India. It focuses on the Taj Mahal Hotel, and I was on the edge of my seat watching how everything went down. This film is not for the faint of heart, but it does emulate the horror first class of going through a terrorist attack of that nature. Very well made!!!
