It Chapter 2 (Sidenote: Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

It Chapter 2 gets the job done in creepiness and suspense, may have ended a little funny, but it is rare for a horror film to have a good story!!!

Real Rating: 4 Stars

What I Like:

-Just like the first film, it is creepy, suspenseful, and even at times scary, in only that regard, it gets the job done
-It is very rare that a horror film to have a good story with great character development, the whole aspect of the Losers Club really captures a good story of battling your inner demons and facing your fears, though not as good as the first film, this one does have a good conclusion for these characters
-As usual Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise the Clown was great and creepy as usual, as far as the other characters, I enjoyed Bill Hader, his character really battling his complicated past and ending up doing the right thing with a bit of comedy, was a joy to see
-The creepy characters it brings out had me jumping out of my seat

The So So:

-The final scene was crazy, but in a good way with the moments of each character realizing what they need to do to try and get rid of Pennywise the Clown, the bad is the execution of how things went down

What I Didn’t Like:

-Nitpicky things, but I wanted to see more of Bill Hader’s inner demons, for other characters there is great conclusions, but for him I was interested more and wanted a better conclusion

Overall:

This franchise does what it needed to do. Creep or scare you, and satisfy you with a great story. Pennywise the Clown will go down as a great character in not only horror movie history, but film history. I hate horror movies, and even after this movie it doesn’t change my mind. With that said, I know a good movie when I see one, and this franchise gets the intended job done.

Real Rating: 4 Stars

(Sidenote: Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- I don’t usually write reviews on these types of movies, but I thought this one is a good one. It combines two of my favorite things Batman and the Ninja Turtles. The animation is a little weird, but the fights were awesome combining both universes to this film. The Batman vs Shredder fights are a marvel to see. The comedy was on point, and I believe they utilized the ninja Turtles personalities with Batman very well. I enjoyed it a lot, and if you are a fan of any of these characters, it is worth a watch!!!
