The Addams Family has great writing and animation, however, it feels like something we have seen before!!!

What I Like:

-The animation was awesome to see, especially in 3D which I did, to me it is a perfect way to watch The Addams Family and their schtick is watching in animation to make everything work
-The voice cast was great Oscar Isaac and Charlize Theron as Gomez and Morticia were great, and I can’t forget about Chloe Grace Moretz as Wednesday, I thought that character was captured very well, there were many others that voiced their roles great
-The scenes with Lurch and Thing were the funniest parts of the film

The So So:

-The writing is great in dialogue, it does capture the essence of what The Addams Family is all about with their opposite and dark views, it was pretty spot on and flowed very well, with that said, as far as the story goes, it is something we already seen before, especially with past Addams Family concoctions

What I Didn’t Like:

-As I said, the story is something we already seen before, especially when it comes to the villain, Margaux Needler who is voiced by Allison Janney, about people not accepting the Addams Family for being different and since they are an eye sore, they will do anything to destroy it, just watch anything that is Addams Family before and tell me you don’t see what we saw in this film, question is, what more can they do?

Overall:

Yes it is a typical old story with this The Addams Family franchise, but it is still fun to watch. With the great animation, great voice acting, funny dialogue, and quirky scenes you will enjoy it for what it is. With that said, I believe trying to relaunch this franchise is beating a dead horse!!!

(Sidenote: Annabelle Comes Home- The Conjuring franchise may be wearing out its welcome. Especially when it comes to character of the creepy doll, Annabelle. To me the story seemed very basic and even tweenish. Let alone that you barely see the main character of Annabelle a lot, only in doses. Instead, and this is the interesting part for me in the film, you get to see the rest of the spirits and things involving that area of the room where the Warrens keep the most evil things. It’s good that you get to see some brief backstory with certain things. However, as a movie overall, it is less than satisfying relying on the jump scares!!!
