Motherless Brooklyn started off intriguing with great flow, but unfortunately the ending was a underwhelming slog!!!

What I Like:
-I give credit to Edward Norton, his direction was pretty good and it flowed very well, but I really give credit to his acting as a person who has Tourette Syndrome, I hate to say it, but it was funny, but yet, I liked how he approached it in the late 50’s where people don’t know, let alone, understand his condition, it was genius if you ask me on how well this character was created
-The other acting was incredible, everybody had small to big supporting roles that related to the story very well, from Bruce Willis, Alec Baldwin, Willem Defoe, the beautiful Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Michael K. Williams, it was all very intriguing to their characters
The So So:
-The story started off very good and intriguing, the setting and neo noir style was awesome, but once I started the story started to reach its climax, it just ended very boring with an underwhelming ending, it wasn’t terrible, but the execution in the end could’ve been better, and more interesting
What I Didn’t Like:
-As I said before, that ending was really disappointing to me, it was two and a half hours, and the last thirty minutes made me not want to care anymore, and that is such a waste of a great premise
Overall:
Simply put, I appreciate the work Edward Norton put in his direction and acting. The story and style started off great. However, the ending was just underwhelming, and really a big slog that didn’t end effectively for me. It’s a shame, because it had a lot of potential, but didn’t deliver the win in the end!!!
