Harriet is a biopic that flowed very well with great acting and character development of Harriet Tubman, even though it was formulaic!!!

What I Like:
-Everything that you wanted to know about this historical legend of Harriet Tubman, Cynthia Erivo acted tremendously in this role and the character development for her gave this legend justice and more substance in adding how human she really is
The So So:
-Yes this follows the typical formula for a biopic, with that said, I give credit to director Kassi Lemmons for making the film flow well, interesting, and at times thrilling, and I give a lot of credit for that
What I Didn’t Like:
-You know, there nothing really that I didn’t like, not even for me to be nitpicky about, other than this being formulaic, I really can’t hate on it more
Overall
As I said before, I really enjoyed this movie. I thought not only did captured the essence of the character of Harriet Tubman, it really expounded who she really is at that time. This movie on this historical icon was long overdue, and this didn’t disappoint. I enjoyed it a lot, and I loved how it painted a picture of that time. It’s not the most intense, but it’s definitely satisfying!!!
