Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker does have a lot of flaws, however, it is still a fun watch with all the characters and action we all grown to love!!!

What I Like:

-The fun part to me is seeing the action that this type of Star Wars movie brings, the dog fights, the shoot outs, and the lightsaber battles are all awesome and well choreographed that I have to love it, to me that is what makes Star Wars fun to watch
-The characters that we all grown to watch really supplanted their legacies, Poe Dameron is a favorite character of mine from now on with his grittiness and leadership, and I also grew an affection for C-3PO and his feelings he brought to this film made it emotionally worthy
-The story in the end and with the fate of Rey, was a good enough ending to this Skywalker Saga

The So So:

-Without giving much away, the fate of Kylo Ren was fascinating since The Force Awakens, I thought he really became a formidable villain, and the way this film started with Palpatine really made it fascinating, with that said, I thought the way his fate was developed in the end was too rushed, and didn’t give the emotional impact that this villain really deserved

What I Didn’t Like:

-Unfortunately, there was a lot of fan service in this film and some were not really merited, without giving too much away, some cameos really felt forced in (no pun intended)
-Storywise, it was predictable for the most part, and like the flaws in The Force Awaken, it had a lot of familiarities to the original trilogy films, and this time around, I can’t really forgive

Overall:

I guess the curse of the third film in a trilogy still kind of remain supreme with this go around of the Star Wars franchise. The flaws in the story and the fate of some of the main characters can leave a bad taste in your mouth. After all that said, I still had a lot of fun with the action and fight scenes which to me is what made Star Wars, Star Wars. I just wish for an ending of a saga it was a lot more satisfying but we got what we got, and to be honest, it is not the worst thing in the world the way it presented. Now I’m curious what the future brings, but for me I do want something completely new for the sake of the franchise!!!
