I didn’t really care for Cats before this film, and now that I have seen it, I still don’t care for Cats!!!

What I Like:
-The song “Memory” by Jennifer Hudson’s character was my favorite song, Hudson really added some emotion in it
The So So:
-The costume and makeup wasn’t bad, I liked the special effects with the ears and what not, but it is very distracting, it made me think if they were wearing anything under their costumes, and that is not that type of movie
What I Didn’t Like:
-The story I didn’t really care for, why should I care? The movie didn’t give me any reason to care about these cats in their version of America’s Got Talent, instead, I was bored out of my mind, and distracted by the cats costumes
-Judi Dench cannot sing, why did she get that part?
Overall:
This film had a great cast, but for what? I felt this was a lot of wasted talent for a musical that I’m surprised that it really is that popular. I was bored mainly because I didn’t care about these cats whatsoever. I didn’t care for their character, story, and future. I just didn’t care. Maybe that is why I’m a dog person!!!

(Sidenote: Marriage Story- This is a fascinating yet depressing story about a family with one child who are going through a terrible divorce. This brings in some great acting by both Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver as the couple calling it quits. The fights, especially the one close to the end really felt authentic and real. All I can say is that I feel for the kid in this story, and to me, that is depressing!!!
