Uncut Gems is a great thriller that is also very grounded with the finest acting by Adam Sandler!!!

What I Like:

-This is probably the best acting for Adam Sandler, give him more dramatic roles than subpar comedies in Netflix, I believe he earns at least an Oscar nomination for this role (I can almost guarantee he won’t), he was that good
-I enjoyed this story, first of all the character is not likable to begin with, but you end up feeling for him as he tries to make things right, his gambling decisions and spur of the moment decisions really makes it very thrilling and very real, it’s crazy how all things went down in the end
-I also enjoyed how they incorporated past events into the storyline, with Kevin Garnett, who is obsessed with good luck charms, in the middle of a Celtics playoff run, it was coordinated very well and almost like the story really happened, it was smart writing

The So So:

As a Celtics fan, I knew how the games will go down which makes it a little less thrilling, but thank goodness for the craziness in the end that makes it worthwhile

What I Didn’t Like:

-I could be nitpicky and say I don’t like the filming with the 35mm camera, but honestly, I don’t really care about that

Overall:

This a great thriller that is a must watch. You have some of the best acting by Adam Sandler, a great and interesting story. The realness of the story will encapsulate you. The dangers of gambling addiction is real, and this will show you how it affects everyone. I love this movie, and everything it brings!!!
