Little Women is a good put together film, but the romance was too eye rolling for me!!!
Real Rating: 3.5 Stars
What I Like:
-I thought director Greta Gerwig put together a nice film with great visuals and cinematography, especially the senes in Paris, they were spectacular, and I also enjoyed the attitude of these ladies that seem like the attitude of today
-The acting was fine, but Saoirse Ronan had the most heart in her role which was nice to see
The So So:
-Though it was a very small amount of time, it was a joy to see Bob Odenkirk playing the father after fighting for the Civil War, it was a pleasant surprise for me
What I Didn’t Like:
-The romance between all the ladies to me was all eye rolling, especially between Jo and Laurie, the uncertainties between them was so annoying, especially Jo who doesn’t know what she really wants made me throw my hands up sometimes
Overall:
It is a well put together film from a famous story. Director Greta Gerwig did a great job in retelling this story with the great sets built all around. It is just me, but I’m not a fan of all the romance it brings. It is just too annoying for my liking. With all that said, the groundedness it brings with all the actresses makes up for a nice story to tell!!!

(Sidenote: The Two Popes- This is a fascinating take between the changing of the two popes during a trying time for the Catholic church. The performances between Anthony Hopkins and Jonathan Pryce were fun to watch. Especially Pryce as Pope Francis, he really captures the mannerisms and culture of a true Argentine which is near and dear to me. I also enjoyed seeing the two different ideologies between the two popes, and seeing them agree to what is best!!!

(Sidenote: Dolemite Is My Name- With this film you get the best of Eddie Murphy. His portrayal of comedian Rudy Ray Moore was awesome and hilarious. It may be a run by the numbers biopic of sorts with a slow beginning, but watching how the film Dolemite got made is interesting. A lot of great acting including Wesley Snipes and Craig Robinson. Now I want to see the film Dolemite!!!
