The Photograph (Sidenote: Playing With Fire)

The Photograph poster.jpg

The Photograph has an interesting story, but in the end, it was way too sappy for my liking!!!

Real Rating: 3 Photographs

What I Like:

-The chemistry between Issa Rae and Lakeith Stanfield does look genuine
-The story for me was interesting seeing about how work can prevent you from caring, let alone, loving somebody, shows how busy a successful life can be
-The background music of jazz and neo-soul added a nice touch to the tone of this film

The So So:

-Nothing really in the middle, it follows my taste of what I like and dislike in a romance movie

What I Didn’t Like:

-In the end, this film got way too sappy for me, I guess one of my main reasons is I’m asking myself, “Why should I care about these two?, I guess it was too genuine for me

Overall:

It is a typical romance type of movie. It wasn’t really a romantic comedy. The story is interesting about two people with successful jobs dealing with their relationship issues which really weren’t huge issues at all. In the end, I cared more about their jobs than their relationships. In my book, that is a fail, but I’m not the right one to judge in these types of films!!!

Playing With Fire Movie HD Poster.jpeg

(Sidenote: Playing with Fire- Right now anything from Nickelodeon will not appease me, and this film is a prime example. It is a kid’s movie, but the way too juvenileness will make parents want to run into the fire. The comedy was not funny, even with Keegan-Michael Key and John Leguizamo. The story was very cliched and predictable, and the characters weren’t really genuinely relatable. Overall, another miss by Nickelodeon!!!
Real Rating: 2.5 Stars)
