The Invisible Man did its job with the creepiness, but I wish the final execution made better sense!!!
Real Rating: 3.5 Knives
What I Like:
-The biggest thing about this film is the creepiness it brings, it reminded me of Paranormal Activity (the first movie), you know the invisible man is around, and yet you don’t see anything, or see something small move that makes you jump with anxiety
-The action and special effects is what makes this film splendidly creepy
-The acting from Elisabeth Moss really added to the authenticity of the suspense it brings
The So So:
-Other than being a creepy thriller, it also deal with the story of marital abuse, and for some reason Elisabeth Moss seems to always play the victim of abuse, though it was interesting, I thought with the tone of the film it didn’t really mix well, and I knew that this will not end well for the abuser
What I Didn’t Like:
-The execution of the end really didn’t work for me, the way things went down just did not make any sense, and not to spoil it, but I thought the protagonist way of getting closure was just stupid, I will just leave it at that
Overall:
I really enjoyed the premise, the tone, and showing true horrors of actually having an evil invisible man in the vicinity. Plus the great acting of Elisabeth Moss, really made it a great thriller. It’s just too bad the ending left a bad taste in my mouth. With all that said, it is a decent thriller to watch!!!
