Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga may appease to fans who love this kind of thing, but the typical humor from Will Ferrell can get old real quick!!!

What I Like:

-The charm between Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams was nice to see

The So So:

-It is not my cup of tea, but for fans of these type of singing shows will most likely love it, it does bring great moments like some of the performances and the sing off in the party were great, but for me it was whatever, it’s not my type of thing
-Some of the comedy was hit and miss, but the scenes with the Americans actually made me laugh

What I Didn’t Like:

-This is a typical Will Ferrell type of humor which can be a good thing or a bad thing, in this case, it was a bad thing because seeing Ferrell a inconsiderate jerk most of the times really doesn’t bode well for him, let alone that some of the jokes were not really funny
-A thin story doesn’t help much either, it just loses its effectiveness

Overall:

It is a typical Will Ferrell comedy, but this time around it is more on the obnoxious side of things which doesn’t work right. The hot and miss comedy and thin story did not help at all. With all that said, the musical performance which is the main point of this film, really does flourish. Fans of these type of contests would really enjoy this for sure. As for me, it wasn’t really my thing, but for those that do like it, more power to you!!!
