Archive may have the boring sci fi talk, but in the end it is a film that makes you think!!!

Real Rating: 3.5 Black and White Cartoons

What I Like:

-Without giving too much, the twist at the end, really made me think, it is an effective twist

The So So:

-Pretty much two thirds of the film is just pure robot technology talk which got very boring for me, with all that said, I understand some people like that kind of stuff, it is a sci fi flick after all, and it does it job, just not my type of ordeal
-I have mixed feelings on having the robots with too much emotional intelligence, one one side it is a more advanced robot which gives it a new angle, even though it is something we have seen before, but it got annoying because it feels like these robots are going through an emo phase and very overdramatic

What I Didn’t Like:

-I just think this film could have been more powerful with a more effective storyline and maybe better ramifications for what the main character, George played by Theo James, is doing it just didn’t bring my full attention as it should

Overall:

Yes, it is very flat for me most of the time, but I know people who are into robots and technology will be fascinated by it. Don’t expect any Tony Stark technology type of astonishment. It is very grounded with a good touch of sci fi stuff. After all of that, the twist at the end does make me think, and I am interested to see what the other people have to say about that!!!
