The Devil All the Time is dark and depressing, but it may be too dark and depressing!!!

What I Like:

-It has a good cast, and it definitely didn’t disappoint, all of them had strong Southern accents that did sound genuine

The So So:

-It was hard for me to pinpoint the main point of this story, it wasn’t until the very end to see what it is really about which is understanding, but not really worthy in my book

What I Didn’t Like:

-This story main themes are very, very dark, almost to the point of depressing with everything that went down in this movie, I don’t recall any positive thing in this, and to be quite honest, why would you like something so dark?

Overall:

Its strong cast does keep it afloat, but other than that it is just a dark slog. It is way, way too depressing for my liking. I eventually got the themes it tries to show, but why should I care about characters that goes terribly wrong for them? There was way too much of that, and why I didn’t enjoy it very much!!!
