Godzilla vs. Kong

Godzilla vs. Kong you get what you want see, some good old kaiju battles, if only the human stories weren’t subpar!!!

Real Rating: 4 Power Axes

What I Like:

-You get what you pay for, some good fights between Godzilla vs King Kong, the CGI and special effects were amazing, and you can sit back and have fun with this spectacle
-I give credit to director Adam Wingard, for beautifully creating a colorful film, especially the scenes in Hong Kong which made the city beautiful before it got destroyed in the ensuing fight, I mean, he even made the city of Pensacola, Florida look very nice and cinematic, for a director who pretty much has done independent horror films, he showed he has the chops to make a big epic movie

The So So:

-Once again the whole story with the humans, and how they get Godzilla and Kong to meet is subpar once again, but at least this time it didn’t affect the film this time around, the human scenes were pretty minimal, and we actually see what we came for, and that is kaiju fights

What I Didn’t Like:

-Without spoiling it, there were some questions I have that didn’t make sense to me which affected the story a little bit

Overall:

You get what you came for, and that is some good kaiju fights between Godzilla vs Kong. The CGI and special effects were on point, and the cinematic visuals directed by Adam Wingard makes this a fun spectacle. Storywise, especially with the humans wasn’t the best, but at least it didn’t affect the film this time around. You get more beasts and more fights, and that’s what you really want to see. This film is far better than Godzilla: King of the Monsters for sure, and make the MonstersVerse relevant. Now let’s see what the future entails, because I have no idea what they can do now!!!
