Thunder Force may have its moments, but it does fall into the realm of mediocreness!!!

What I Like:

-I thought the chemistry between Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer is actually a genuine friendship, and really the high point of this film

The So So:

-Their comedy comes and goes, there were some moments and lines that made me chuckle, but there were a lot of misses as well which is typical with a film involving McCarthy and directed by her husband Ben Falcone
-The story was intriguing at first involving superheroes and what not, but as it continues it just became cliched, predictable, and even a bit confusing
-The villains were funny as well at times, but their motives were typical villains that we’ve seen or read

What I Didn’t Like:

-Without spoiling it, there were some moments that were just plain weird for my liking

Overall:

I went into this with an open mind, and that’s probably why I started to like it, but the more it progressed the more it became a same old superhero movie. The comedy didn’t always hit, the action was decent, and the acting worked well with what they had. It just fell into the pool of mediocrity. At least it is on Netflix where if you have nothing else, you can watch this film for what it is!!!
