Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway

Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway just had more charm and laughs than its predecessor, but the story is more convoluted!!!

Real Rating: 3 Frollickings

What I Like:

-This time around, I laughed more in its comedy, it wasn’t too juvenile than its predecessor, and it seemed like it has more charm and heart in this one as well which made it less painful to watch
-The human acting was believable as long with the voice acting
-The CGI animation is actually pretty good in this one

The So So:

-James Corden does have an annoying voice, but at least the film calls it out on it

What I Didn’t Like:

-The beginning of the film the story actually made sense, but right in the middle it took a big free fall, it was all over the place, very convoluted, and even for a kid’s movie, it just doesn’t make sense, it just got too outrageous for my liking

Overall:

I hated the first film because its comedy was too slapstick and juvenile. This one was a lot better for me with their comedy and it did had a lot more charm and heart. It seemed the acting and the voice acting was cohesive and genuine. The story started off good, but then it just got way too convoluted for my liking. It was all over the place, and way too outrageous. It had potential to be something good, but it lost its focus in the middle of it. I guess James Corden’s voice annoyed a good story away!!!
