Vacation Friends may seem like a familiar comedy, but the charm of their leads does offer some good humor!!!

What I Like:

-What made this comedy work was their leads, especially John Cena and Lil Rel Howery, John Cena actually had some charm in a crazy way, but no matter how crazy he really is, he has a lot of heart, and for Lil Rel, he was like an everyman that you can relate to who learns something about himself and his purpose, the chemistry between the two really worked

The So So:

-The story and execution of it may seem something we have already seen before, Meet the Parents comes to my mind, but the craziness this film brings does bring in a unique twist that makes it enjoyable and funny

What I Didn’t Like:

-Some of the comedy were misses, I mean a joke about drugs all the time can lose out its luster after the original joke

Overall:

It is a typical comedy that you would see since maybe the 50’s. However, when you have good leads that give you a great charming attitude to yourself, you have to just laugh at all the craziness that ensues. I enjoyed it for what it is, and John Cena and Lil Rel Howery do brings some fun chemistry with each other. It is on Hulu, so what do you have to lose? If you need a laugh, this will be a decent one for sure!!!
