Licorice Pizza had it’s moments with its comedy, but it does seem all over the place to understand the cohesiveness of the story it is trying to tell!!!

What I Like:

-There is a lot of funny moments that did make me laugh, some dialogue is hilarious, some funny cameos from well known actors, but the quirkiness it brings does add a genuine comedic touch
-The quirkiness from the acting is what made it funny, and these are from beginners actors which is impressive

The So So:

It did lack any emotional depth and just relied on its quirkiness which was fine for what it is, but there was one moment at the tail end of this film that did add a touch of emotional depth

What I Didn’t Like:

-It was more than two hours, and there were times that it did drag, especially at the beginning where it took me some time to get into it
-The themes were all over the place which can be hard to follow, and there are some themes here that it did seem problematic, and nothing to address it

Overall:

It is a quirky comedy movie. The acting was surprisingly great, and gave it a nice touch for a coming of age story. Yes the lack of focus and the slow points are strong in this, but once you get use to it, it is pretty funny and interesting at the very least!!!
