I am a sucker for sports movies, but Home Team could not sucker me in!!!
Real Rating:
2 Rob Schneiders Doing Weird Things
What I Like:
-The fact that this is on Netflix, and I didn’t have to pay to see it in theaters
The So So:
-I thought the premise is very interesting with the whole Sean Payton Bountygate ordeal, and turning it into some sort of story, it had a slight intrigue from me
What I Didn’t Like:
-It was a formula or a typical sports movie down to the T, no originality whatsoever
-For a comedy, I barely laughed at all, it really wasn’t that funny
-It was also very stupid, I mean that whole projectile vomiting scene was so disgusting, I almost turned the movie off
Overall:
I wanted to like this film, but I just couldn’t. I should’ve known better than a Netflix movie produced by Happy Madison would be decent, but no, it was a typical Happy Madison type of film with all the fixings. Formulaic story, it wasn’t funny, and in the end, it was just plain dumb. I tend to be a sucker for sports films, but I wasn’t suckered into this one. My only question is, why the heck Sean Payton agreed to do this?
