Dog is very predictable, but it does have its fine moments!!!
Real Rating:
3.5 “C’mon Dog”
What I Like:
-There are some heartwarming scenes that will teach you that all dogs can be good no matter the background they were raised before
-For Channing Tatum to co-direct this, not bad, not bad at all
The So So:
-There are some themes that didn’t put enough emphasis on, like the protagonists estranged daughter, and put too much emphasis on other things like being tranquilized and tied up for no reason, or his scene in jail, maybe the focus on certain things need to be rearranged to make it better
What I Didn’t Like:
-It is way too cliched, I mean if you didn’t predict what’s going to happen, than you haven’t watched enough movies
Overall:
It is a nice film. You get what you get with Channing Tatum not only as an actor, but a director as well. It is predictable and cliched, but the strong moments are great. You can appreciate dogs more, even the vicious ones!!!
Real Rating:
3.5 “C’mon Dog”

(Sidenote: CODA – This is an Oscar watch. I really enjoyed this film. Not just for the great representation of a deaf family dealing with life, but seeing a coming of age story of a girl who grew up with this family as the only person who can hear. Seeing all the troubles and tribulations of everyday life, and her pursuing her dream in music. Eugenio Derbez as the choir teacher was hilarious to watch. In the end, it does give some heartwarming moments that can make you emotional in a good way!!!
