Uncharted may be a story we have all seen before, but I enjoyed it for their two main leads playing the beloved video game characters!!!

What I Like:

-Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg as Nathan Drake and Sully were fun leads to watch, seeing them working together and bickering is hilarious
-The action was decent enough to keep me engaged to see what happens next

The So So:

-It is a movie based on a video game which doesn’t have a good track record, with that said, I thought for a film it does capture the essence of the beloved video game characters, you can tell that they were developed that way to satisfy fans, and to keep the movie flowing, it is not perfect, but I believe they did their best with what they got

What I Didn’t Like:

-The story is something we all seen before, does it follow the video game standards, yes, but for film there is nothing more you can do, but become predictable
-After the two leads, the rest of the actors were questionable at best, whether it is lack of development, or just bad accents

Overall:

I am a fan of the video game franchise. I can appreciate the justice they gave to the protagonists of Nathan Drake and Sully, and Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg did their best. They still shown good chemistry. With all that said, it is hard to make this franchise not be so routined. The action was fun, and the execution was good for the most part. Not sure how other fans will like this, but I wasn’t greatly disappointed with this first film, and look forward to more if possible!!!
