The Lost City (Sidenote: The Worst Person in the World)

The Lost City can be outrageous, but it has their comedic moments that made it fun to watch!!!

Real Rating:

3.5 Jungles

What I Like:

-The comedic chemistry between Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum is actually pretty good, they both have a charm to them that actually made this movie watchable
-The rest of the cast was good as well, most notably Brad Pitt as a former Navy Seal soldier and his BAness in the rescue mission, and among others
-The cinematography of the landscape of the island was beautiful to see

The So So:

-The comedy was actually pretty funny, it was mostly hits that actually made me laugh, but there was also their corny moments that made shake my head and suck my teeth
-Daniel Radcliffe played the villain in this film, though he is the stereotypical billionaire greedy villain, he was funny and intense at the same time which made the story of this film more enjoyable

What I Didn’t Like:

-I didn’t care for the romance stuff in this film, it just seemed a little forced and dumb
-The action is very outrageous that made it funny, and not in a good way

Overall:

This movie is more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum really brought some funny comedy in this action comedy. Add a little of Brad Pitt and Daniel Radcliffe, it makes a good mix of comedy and fun. Yes it does have its tropes and the nauseating romance scene, but it did make me laugh. I would recommend it as a Date Night film that won’t be boring, but fun in the end!!!

(Sidenote: The Worst Person in the World – My last Oscar watch. It is a foreign language film from Norway. I enjoyed the narrative of it dealing with a person who doesn’t really know what they want in their life. It’s interesting to see how it affects everybody in her life. It can get frustrating seeing certain scenes, and some scenes can drag. With all that said, it is a good psychological piece to watch!!!
Real Rating: 3.5 Norwegian Words)
