If you’re a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise with the Sega Genesis franchise, you will enjoy this movie!!!

What I Like:

-The action and special effects were really awesome, makes it look as real as it get, especially to the animated characters, the detail is tremendous
-The new characters like Tails and Knuckles is a welcome addition, additionally, Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik was still fun and hilarious, and Jim Carrey at his finest
-Ben Schwartz voicing Sonic is great, he made me laugh with some of his one liners that were actually pretty funny

The So So:

-I feel that this sequel had less heart than its predecessor, however, with the action and fan service, it really makes up for that, it really made me relive my childhood with the easter eggs and what not, fans of the original Sega Genesis video games will enjoy this for sure

What I Didn’t Like:

-Being nitpicky here, but the hands on Knuckles made him look like he is wearing boxing gloves which was too distracting for me, made it way too realistic I guess

Overall:

I will say it again, if you are a fan of the original Sega Genesis video games, you will enjoy this film. Everything you love from the first film comes back, but they really ante upped the action and fan service which was great in my book. I’m actually really looking forward to seeing more sequels for sure!!!
