The Bad Guys

The Bad Guys may have some identity issues, but it is still a fun watch!!!

Real Rating:

4 Marc Maron’s Laughs

What I Like:

-I thought the voice cast was great all around, especially Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, and Richard Ayoade, they were the main ones that made the film entertaining enough to keep on watching
-The animation was pretty cool, very Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse like
-That beginning scene was so Quinton Tarantinoesque that it was awesome to see whats transpiring in the first 10 minutes

The So So:

-It is the same old theme for a kids movie, but it was entertaining enough for me to care what happens

What I Didn’t Like:

-It had some identity issues, like a cross between Zootopia, Ocean’s 11, and Pulp Fiction, and it chaotically goes from one theme to another, it just gave you too many different feelings, and not sure how to feel those feelings
-The story was very, very predictable

Overall:

It’s a fine movie. The animation and the voice acting keeps you engaged throughout. Yes it does have some themes and identity issues, but at the very least, you can follow on what’s going on. It’s a good enough family film with a good lesson. Just wish it wasn’t too cliched, that’s all!!!
