DC League of Super-Pets may have its tropes for an animated and superhero film, but in the end, it is a fun watch for the family!!!
Real Rating:
3.5 Thor Hulk Guinea Pigs
What I Like:
-It is a fun movie, seeing animals getting super powers and fighting against evil is just a lot of fun to watch, I mean if you’re a fan of superhero movies you will enjoy it, the animation is good enough to enjoy, most of all, it is good enough for the whole family to watch and enjoy
-One of the reason why it is enjoyable is the voice cast, with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart, you will get that chemistry, and also Kate McKinnon as the villain, Lulu, was fun to watch, plus, who doesn’t like Keanu Reeves voicing Batman
The So So:
-The story was a typical animated/superhero film, it is something we all have seen before, especially with the cliches of a group trying to work together, the main hero learning to be team player, and many others, but the one cliche that never gets old to me is seeing characters realizing their true potential, not only in their powers, but with themselves as well, for a kids movie, it is always a good message to preach
-The comedy is hit or miss, there were some moments that were funny, but the juvenile humor were big misses, I mean, you know there will be poop and pee jokes when it comes to pets
What I Didn’t Like:
-Did I mention cliches and poop and pee jokes, yeah it made it from a good movie to only decent at best
Overall:
If you see one animated/superhero movies, you’ve seen it all. With all that said, I’m still a big sucker for these type of films, because they are fun. It does bring touching moments at times, comedy, and enjoyment for the whole family. In the end, it is not a great movie, but it is fun and entertaining enough for the family. What more can you ask for?

(Sidenote: Memory – Another subpar action film starring Liam Neeson. I mean, it has the potential to be an ok film at best with the action. However, it was just got boring seeing Liam Neeson trying to remember things. They play with his old age for an action star, but is that what we really want to see?
Real Rating: 2.5 Hitmen)
