The Fabelmans is a nice story showing the early life of director Steven Spielberg, the overall acting makes this film something every film buff should watch!!!

What I Like:
-The story is a coming of age story, even though it is fiction, it showed the life of Steven Spielberg growing up and seeing his love for movie making grow with him, it is interesting and inspirational, but it also shows a family going through the usual drama as well
-What makes this movie so fascinating was how great the acting was Paul Dano and Michelle Williams playing the parents shows a true dynamic in how they played a role in Sam’s (Steven Spielberg) life into films, Gabriel LaBelle playing Sam was really good in capturing the emotions of his character, but the best scene was between Sam and his uncle Boris, played by Judd Hirsch, uncle Boris words to Sam does ring true, even today, there were a lot of great dramatic moments, and it is all because of the acting
The So So:
-Everything was good, but I wanted to see more, like how was he inspired to make some of his great films, maybe a sequel?
What I Didn’t Like:
-Some of the drama was unnecessary or underdeveloped
Overall:
This is a film I knew I wanted to see, and it did not disappoint. Seeing the great director, Steven Spielberg, make a fictional story about his life was truly fascinating and inspirational. I thought it paid homage to his family very well, and showed his true inspiration. There were some very special scenes, where the acting made it really good. I would like to see more of how Spielberg was inspired to make some of his great films, but not sure I will get it. Regardless, this a film that every film buff needs to watch!!!
