Shotgun Wedding may have a unique sense, but once you get into it, it is the same old action comedy mess!!!

What I Like:

-Any movie with Jennifer Lopez I’m in, and her acting in this one didn’t disappoint

The So So:

-The action was fine, but it was the usual gunfire and explosions that we normally see which is still entertaining but nothing new to the table
-The story is also unique about a wedding being sabotaged by pirates, but it just follows the same old action comedy tropes which made it very predictable

What I Didn’t Like:

-Lenny Kravitz’s acting looked like it belongs to a minor character in a B level film, yes, it was that bad
-The comedy wasn’t that funny either, not even the Latin great Cheech Marin was funny

Overall:

Even for Amazon Prime, I don’t think it’s worth the fuss. The only reason I watched it was because of the beautiful Jennifer Lopez. The action was derivative, the comedy was mostly a miss, and the story was just way too familiar once the film starting to get going. What more can I say, Amazon Prime can do a lot better than this!!!

(Sidenote: Causeway – Here is another Oscar Nominated Review. This one for Brian Tyree Henry getting the nod for Best Supporting Actor. Mainly about Jennifer Lawrence character as a person recovering from a traumatic experience while serving in the military trying to recoup in a regular life. J Law and BTH were fine, but it did drag a little. In the end, I have to ask myself, “What is the point of this film?” Still can’t find a definitive answer to that question!!!
