Pain Hustlers started well with their theme and buildup, but the payoff was way too subpar for me to care!!!

What I Like:

-The premise of this story, the theme, and the execution of this film made it very interesting, it got me engaged, and wanted to know what will happen next

The So So:

-The acting was a hit or miss for me, I enjoyed Chris Evans, but I thought Emily Blunt was too bland, I didn’t really feel her emotions, even Andy Garcia was hard for me to take serious, and these are good actors that I’m critiquing

What I Didn’t Like:

-By the time it reached it climax, I was already bored out of my mind, it ended like a slog, the execution went from A level to B level, and the characters were not that interesting for me to care on what happens with them, it just didn’t became interesting anymore

Overall:

It got my attention, then decided not to care on what is keeping my attention, and then it lost my attention. I really thought there was going to be something in this, but in the end, it was really nothing. The acting was subpar for me, especially with a cast like that. It could’ve been more, but it feels like it got lazy in the end. No wonder it ended up on Netflix!!!
