The Foreigner

The Foreigner, I may not understand the politics of it, but Jackie Chan made this a smart and enjoyable action flick!!!

Rating: 4 Stars

What I Like:

-Jackie Chan playing a more serious role was a joy to watch, you still have him kick butt, but I really enjoyed seeing his emotions and his character as Quan, was developed splendidly
-The action was also fun to watch, especially the fighting scenes

The So So:

-The story was decent, with the so so good on how smart they made Quan, almost MacGuyver like involving bombs and explosions, and outsmarting people with his past military training

What I Didn’t Like:

-The part I didn’t like of the story was the European politics involving the bombings, I just didn’t quite understand everything that was going on, maybe it’s the Irish accents and my distaste of Pierce Brosnan, whose character was unlikeable but the film wanted to do that, with all that said, the action made up for it’s lackluster of explains politics into this

I really enjoyed this movie mainly cuz of Jackie Chan’s acting and fighting scenes, the action, and the smartness of the story and character development. The politics is what really threw me off, but once the climax comes, I believe people will be satisfied with the outcome. Fun flick for all the action junkies out there!!!
