What Men Want is a predictable comedy mess, but I found it a lot more meaningful than Mel Gibson’s version!!!

What I Like:

-I thought the Mel Gibson’s version really had no charm and was kind of a stupid rom-com type of ordeal, this remake had a lot more substance in realizing the power you got and being able to use it wisely, also dealing with the consequences that you make
-I thought Taraji P. Henson acted very well in her role, and used her charisma very wisely to understand her character, I also enjoyed seeing Tracy Morgan playing a character which is a shot at LaVar Ball but with a more outrageous personality which makes it funny, and Erykah Badu as the psychic was surprisingly hilarious

The So So:

-At first I thought the comedy was pretty funny, but then it got to a point where the comedy just felt forced and annoying

What I Didn’t Like:

-It was cliched and predictable, I mean anybody who loves rom-coms and what not knows what will happen in the end, it was eye rollingly obvious

Overall:

I can honestly say this is better than the Mel Gibson version, but it is not that much better. It had its good comedic and dramatic moments, but in the end it is very predictable. Kind of wished that the good substance it had expands better, but the potential wasn’t lived. At least Taraji P. Henson does a great job in her role!!!
