Knives Out

Knives Out is an interesting mystery telling that will keep you on your toes until the end, no matter how much backstory they jam into us!!!

Real Rating: 4 Stars

What I Like:

-I give credit to writer and director Rian Johnson for making a unique twist on a mystery “Who Done It?” type of story, I mean, he tells what really happened early on, but you are still interested in how this particular story ends, and it did not disappoint
-There was so many great acting in this film, but I really want to say that I enjoyed seeing Daniel Craig as a private detective from the South trying to crack the mystery, and Chris Evans as the family jerk
-The quirkiness in this film gives it a lot of character to its theme

The So So:

-Yes the back stories and flashbacks can be too much jammed into your feeble mind, but it does progress the story to make everything make sense

What I Didn’t Like:

-Can there be way too much dialogue in a mystery movie, I believe there can be that can drag the film, and prefer more flashbacks like the TV show Lost better than just told dialogue
-I really don’t get the whole Knives Out deal and the circle of knives, I mean, did I miss something?

Overall

This is a unique mystery film which Rian Johnson crafts very well and added his own flairs to make this enjoyable. The quirky acting really made this film very tolerable in not knowing what will happen next. There can be too much dialogue and flashbacks, but in the end, it all makes a lot of sense. The ending was very satisfying for me, and probably the best mystery film I have seen in a while!!!
