Palm Springs

Palm Springs does bring a unique way of involving a rom com with sci fi, sort of, Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti really made it work somehow!!!

Real Rating: 3.5 Wake Ups

What I Like:

-Cristin Milioti and surprisingly Andy Samberg really made this story work, their development and their ideologies of life in general really made it interesting to watch, Samberg is still goofy and what not, but in his serious parts, I thought he did real well, and show great chemistry with Milioti, and made the whole ordeal genuine
-The theme of how you view life, and how different it can be from one person to another is fascinating to watch, and how you approach with things like being stuck in a time loop, shows your true character, that can be inspirational for people

The So So:

-The story is definitely something we have seen before, with that said, the different angles they put on it does have a unique twist that works, it does make it fun to see what will happen next

What I Didn’t Like:

-Even though this is a rom com, I didn’t feel the love is merited, and maybe because it is rushed in the end, but I felt it might of been forced too abruptly
-Yes dealing with time jumps or time in general can lead to plotholes and loopholes, and this one is no different, even then it is minor, but hard for me to shake off, so maybe it’s just me

Overall:

Yes this film has some minor flaws, but it is still a fascinating story to see. It may tickle your soul on how you view life, and that could be a great thing. Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti really made this story work in the end. Watch it with an open mind, and you may get something that can make you think!!!
